How to Become an Underwriter

1. Go to your Profile

On the top navigation bar, click "My Profile" to access your profile.

2. Click Edit Profile

Press the "Edit profile" button on your profile page.

3. Open Underwriter Settings

In the Edit Profile dialog, navigate to the "Underwriter settings" tab.

4. Toggle "Mark me as an Underwriter"

Enable the toggle to register yourself as an underwriter on the protocol.

5. Set your Interest Fee

Enter the percentage you want to charge as your Interest Fee, then click "Save changes".

What is the Interest Fee?

The Interest Fee is calculated as a percentage of the interest paid to capital providers, and is added on top of the borrower's interest payment.

Example

• Loan Size: $100
• Interest Rate: 10%
• Interest paid to capital providers: $10

If the underwriter sets a 10% Interest Fee:

• Underwriter receives: $1
• Borrower pays: $11 total interest
  • $10 → Capital Providers
  • $1 → Underwriter

The underwriter fee compensates the underwriter for structuring, monitoring, and maintaining the pool.
